GFOA-WMA
membership consists of approximately 300 finance officers
and associate members in the District of Columbia and the
surrounding cities and counties of Maryland and Virginia.
Active (voting) members are generally employed by a local
government organization and live or work in the Washington
metropolitan area. Associate members are members of
industries that serve local government, including auditors,
actuaries, bankers, educators, and attorneys.

Luncheons
The GFOA-WMA hosts three quarterly luncheon
meetings to keep our membership abreast of local and
regional topics to meet the ever evolving challenges of
government finance.

Standing Committees
Solicitations for committee members are made
annually at the conference. Committee Chairpersons are
nominated by the Board and approved by the membership at the
annual conference for a one-year term. Committee members may
join at any time during the year.
